Teaching

- School home work support: Provided with our Premier Programs (see Programs for details).

- Extension: This is the core of our vision: to extend each child’s learning to the maximum possible.

- Remedial Work: Students undertaking remedial work often have to work extra hard until they catch up. However the improvement in the student’s confidence that comes from remedial work makes it very worthwhile.

- Targeted Courses: Teaching aimed at specific goals are covered in our Targeted Courses (see Programs).

- Experienced Teachers: Instruction by teachers who are experts in teaching and in the particular subject, not short-term hired hands.

Core values

- Stability: Our teaching is based on our owner-teachers who are experts in creating and executing teaching plans.

The student gets the close attention of one stable expert teacher, not someone who comes and goes.

- Discipline: For the benefit of the student, we maintain a disciplined environment where the focus is on the learning.

- Wide Variety of Teaching Materials: Teaching materials are selected with freedom from the huge variety of available sources that we have carefully examined. Work selection with one guideline: the real needs of the student. We are free to select work that is suitable to the student because we are not a franchise required to use a pre-printed, in-house series of inflexible teaching units.

- Feedback: Feedback to the student about the work. Feedback and consultation with parents. Parent expectations are critical. Any suggestions and thoughts by parents are welcomed, and taken into consideration.

- Direct Service from Experts: Planning, design and teaching by the same expert teacher, not using canned learning material like most other learning centers. Planning and design of teaching by a small interactive group of experts consulting with each other, one of whom teaches the student directly.
